Performance

• Comes standard with 3.7-litre Magnum V6 engine that generates 210 Horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque.
• A state-of-the-art Getrag 6-speed manual transmission is standard on all models, except when equipped with the 4.7-litre high output MagnumV8 Engine, in which case both 4-speed and 5-speed automatic transmissions are available. The 5-speed automatic provides a second overdrive ratio for increased fuel economy and reduced engine noise at highway speeds.
• Standard part-time, 2-speed, electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case.

Convenience

Improvements for the 2008 include a modified 4WD front axle vent hose, upgraded shafts, seals, pinions nut and an axle vent hose that terminates higher in the engine compartment. This will help keep water out when fording streams or driving in flood conditions. The following other features are availble on the Dakota:
